At playtime: has hair to brush and style, can go in the water, comes with clothes to change and arrives with accessories

This is Burt's Bees Cozy Stripes, Blonde Hair, one of the soft-body baby dolls we keep on the Soft & Snuggly Dolls shelf of our nursery.

She is made for first cuddles and naps, and that is the simplest way to describe her.

What Burt's Bees Cozy Stripes does at playtime

Out of the box she has hair to brush and style, can go in the water, comes with clothes to change and arrives with accessories.

The activities that matter are small: feed her, change her, put her down for a nap. That is the playtime a toddler repeats, and the joy that comes with it.

We would rather a doll be hugged flat than stay perfect on a shelf.

What she costs and who she is for

We list her at $20.97; that number comes from the store page and moves when the store moves it.

55 families have rated her, and the average is 4.8 out of five.

The age on the pack is 18 months and up — small hands need to manage her accessories.

A toddler holds a doll differently than an older child does, so weight and softness matter more than toys with many parts.

Keeping her clean between play sessions

If her hair tangles, work from the ends upward with a wide comb — never pull from the roots.

Air-dry her after any water play, and nothing inside her stays damp.

What we hear about her so far

No settled ratings have come in for this set yet, so the box list above is the honest part of the story.

Price, ratings and ages for this interactive baby doll

The activities that matter at playtime are small and realistic: a bottle, a change, a nap. A toddler repeats them for months, and that is the joy an adorable interactive baby doll brings home. The ages on the set are a note about small parts.

Quick notes from the nursery

Measure crown to heel before ordering an outfit.
Only the grows-up and talking dolls take batteries.
A damp cloth lifts almost everything except ink.
Store her sitting up rather than squashed in a toy box.

The same shelf holds 10 more dolls and sets, so there is room to compare.
