Keeping the routine stocked — choosing interactive baby dolls

The first month after a doll arrives is the expensive one, because that is when a family discovers how fast the food and the diapers go. Buying the refills in packs at the start is cheaper than buying them one set at a time later.

Diapers — two a day in the first fortnight is normal.

Mixing the food properly

One sachet to the line on the spoon, cold water, stir for ten seconds. Too much water and it runs out of her; too little and it sets in the channel. If a set has been left mixed overnight, rinse before the next feed.

Outfits that fit what you own

Our mix-and-match clothing fits twelve to fourteen inch dolls, which covers most of the nursery but not the big grows-up dolls or the pocket-size friends. Measure from the crown to the heel before you order, because a dress that is one inch short will not close at the back.
