We put Bubbly Tea Party Sophia Sparkle Doll on the Playsets & Daily Routines shelf because that is where families usually start looking for her.

Everything about her is built around mealtimes, bedtimes and check-ups.

What Bubbly Tea Party Sophia Sparkle Doll does at playtime

At playtime she takes a bottle, needs a diaper change, has hair to brush and style, can go in the water and lights up or changes colour.

We measure a doll by playtime, not by features: realistic activities, an adorable face and a routine a toddler can run alone.

We keep our dolls simple enough that a child can run the whole routine without an adult.

What is on her tag today

Today she is $19.18, which puts her in the gentler part of our range.

Families have left 686 ratings for her and the average sits at 4.6 out of five.

She is made for 3 years and up, which is when the little pieces stop being a worry.

For a toddler, the first doll is a hugging toy; the interactive set comes later.

Keeping her clean between play sessions

Air-dry her after any water play, and nothing inside her stays damp.

A damp cloth and a soft brush keep her looking new between play sessions.

Price, ratings and ages for this interactive baby doll

The activities that matter at playtime are small and realistic: a bottle, a change, a nap. A toddler repeats them for months, and that is the joy an adorable interactive baby doll brings home. The ages on the set are a note about small parts.

Quick notes from the nursery

Soft bodies suit 18 months; bottles and spoons start at three.
Nothing in our nursery needs a screen or an app.
Every set ships with the accessories shown on the pack.
Prams and furniture travel by a slower service than the small sets.

We keep 15 other items on this shelf, and most families look at two or three before choosing.
