At playtime: takes a bottle, makes baby sounds, moves on her own, has hair to brush and style and comes with clothes to change

This is Crawl 'n Play Katie Kat, one of the routine playsets we keep on the Playsets & Daily Routines shelf of our nursery.

We designed her for mealtimes, bedtimes and check-ups, so the play pattern is short, warm and repeatable.

What Crawl 'n Play Katie Kat does at playtime

Out of the box she takes a bottle, makes baby sounds, moves on her own, has hair to brush and style and comes with clothes to change.

The activities that matter are small: feed her, change her, put her down for a nap. That is the playtime a toddler repeats, and the joy that comes with it.

We keep our dolls simple enough that a child can run the whole routine without an adult.

What comes in the set

This is what we pack with her:

I'm Katie Kat and i really Crawl: Imagine adventures right in the living room with this 10.75 inch (27 cm) crawling baby doll playset. Press the button on her back to get her moving
Over 40 adorable sounds: This interactive baby doll makes so many cute sound effects like getting excited to crawl, eating, and giggling as she goes. Requires 4 AA batteries (not included)
I react to my mess-free sippy cup: Put her toy sippy cup in her mouth to hear cute munching sounds
Meet my fluttering bee friend: Roll the toy bee along the floor and watch its wings flutter up and down. It's so much fun to tell stories with the baby doll accessories
I love to move and groove: Pick her up then press and hold the button on her back to start a 12-second musical tune and get her arms and legs wiggling like she's dancing

What she costs and who she is for

We list her at $37.95; that number comes from the store page and moves when the store moves it.

1,091 families have rated her, and the average is 4.6 out of five.

The age on the pack is 3 years and up — small hands need to manage her accessories.

For a toddler, the first doll is a hugging toy; the interactive set comes later.

Keeping her clean between play sessions

If her hair tangles, work from the ends upward with a wide comb — never pull from the roots.

Air-dry her after any water play, and nothing inside her stays damp.

What families wrote about her

“My daughter was very happy with this doll. The price is great for the quality . She crawls and sits. The doll is too hard to cuddle but she loves to dress her up and feed her. She even makes noises when you feed her!”

“Absolutely adorable doll, my niece loves it. It’s very durable and is so cute when it crawls. It’s not too noisy. The doll is definitely worth the money paid for it”

Price, ratings and ages for this interactive baby doll

The activities that matter at playtime are small and realistic: a bottle, a change, a nap. A toddler repeats them for months, and that is the joy an adorable interactive baby doll brings home. The ages on the set are a note about small parts.

Quick notes from the nursery

Measure crown to heel before ordering an outfit.
Only the grows-up and talking dolls take batteries.
A damp cloth lifts almost everything except ink.
Store her sitting up rather than squashed in a toy box.

The same shelf holds 15 more dolls and sets, so there is room to compare.
